Compendex Adds AIAA Standards

on Tue, 04/02/2019 - 15:37

AIAA, or the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, self-proclaims that its members have achieved virtually every milestone in modern American flight since 1963. Its mission is to “ignite and celebrate aerospace ingenuity and collaboration, and its importance to our way of life.”

Its standards, created by aerospace professionals for aerospace professionals, provide best practices and regulatory requirements to allow for economies of scale, expanded trade possibilities, and greater quality and safety of operating aerospace equipment.

Now, Compendex on Engineering Village has indexed all standards from AIAA, which complements the already existing AIAA and other aerospace content indexed in Compendex. Topics include systems, modeling, simulation, and testing across aerospace and aeronautics.

More specifically, it helps engineers discover what guidelines they need to adhere to on top of cutting-edge thinking and processes to spur ideas on subjects like:

Space Systems and Vehicles
•Spacecraft Architecture
•Space Systems
•Space Operations
•Launch Vehicles
•Space Power and Propulsion

Modeling, Simulation and Testing
•Ground Testing
•Computational Fluid Dynamics
•Atmospheric, Orbital and Space Environment Models

•Aviation and Aircraft
•Systems Engineering and Project Management
•Mission Assurance
