Make Serendipitous Information Discoveries

on Wed, 10/24/2018 - 19:52

Serendipity. By definition, it’s the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. Engineers and researchers make serendipitous discoveries all the time, whether it’s diagnosing an unexpected failure or uncovering a suitable material for a specific scenario or condition.

Serendipitous discovery also happens in engineering information & data searching. And, Engineering Village just made it easier to make sense of it.

The “Related Documents” feature is now categorized by document type. When you’re viewing any record in Compendex or Inspec, you may view documents related to that entry categorized by things like “journals”, “standards”, “conferences”, and more.

With this categorization, engineers see more types of content related to the content they are viewing. Plus, they can easily filter for the content relevant to their current search discovery process.

With Engineering Village, producing results from serendipity just got easier.
