Become a Registered User and Customize AutoSuggest for Compendex
Registered users within Engineering Village now have the ability to turn off the AutoSuggest feature and save that default in their profile in the My Preferences menu.  The Engineering Village AutoSuggest feature helps engineering researchers find relevant information quickly by utilizing a list of descriptive terms assigned to Compendex articles.  As you begin typing a search into the Engineering Village Quick Search form, a list of topic terms or phrases are displayed that match what you are typing.

Have you noticed all the updates to Engineering Village lately? In fact, there have been a regular stream of enhancements over the past 24 months. This is due to Engineering Village’s agile development cycle, a process of continuous improvement which ensures the product remains responsive to its user-community,short time of their emergence.

One of key the characteristics of agile development is that items of functionality or features are less often introduced in a single grandstanding package, but rolled out incrementally over time.

Finding search terms can be difficult especially for novice users of the platform. AutoSuggest on Engineering Village helps engineering researchers find terms quickly by displaying a list of suggested engineering terms based on the 20,000 terms located within the most trusted engineering Thesaurus available, the Ei Thesaurus.
